Softalk Share Server & WorkgroupShare
Features & Benefits Comparison

Both the Softalk Share Server and WorkgroupShare products provide the ability to share Outlook folders, but which product is right for your organization? Here we compare the features and benefits of each product so that you can make a considered decision.

Main differences
The main difference between the two products is that Softalk Share Server provides full sharing of all data in Outlook in real-time, whereas WorkgroupShare provides sharing of the essential data types and sharing is implemented via a synchronization mechanism. The benefit of Softalk Share Server's real-time sharing is that when you view another person's folder you are viewing the person's actual data, which is therefore up-to-date. In WorkgroupShare, you are viewing a synchronized copy of the shared data, which will only be up to date when you next synchronize.
